I like to visit Joey’s, and today I brought a friend to the one in Bragg Creek.

The serving staff were nice and got us seated at the table of our choice in no time. The decor of this Joey’s Seafood Restaurant was cute, with fish all over the place and even barriers between the tables that were shaped like fish.

The menu was not usual full Joey’s menu. It was kind of limited, but the important thing was that it still had their famous Fish and Chips.

The food was good, as always, and the portions were some of the biggest I’ve had at any Joey’s. Even better, they offered unlimited fries.

Last thoughts: There aren’t many food places in Bragg Creek, so Joey’s is a natural option. It is easy to find and has a great ambiance.

If you like fish and chips, then Joey’s is the way to go. On my way back to Calgary from the mountains I felt like some fish and chips, so I stopped by the Joey’s Seafood Restaurant in Canmore. This Joey’s restaurant is pretty easy to find. It is on the road that runs parallel to Highway 1 and a bit separate from the busy part where all the other food places are situated. Joey’s is inside the Falcon Crest Lodge, which means they even serve breakfast here for the lodgers who stay overnight.

This Joey’s has a nice layout, with new-looking seating and decorations, but the lack of lighting made it feel a bit dark and dungeon-y. Our server seemed friendly but was not really made for the hospitality industry. She was polite but not warm.

The order of food came really fast, maybe because I was the only customer, but still it was impressive. I was curious about the lack of patrons. I was there at 5 pm, which is perhaps too early for the dinner crowd.

The food was good, like at all Joey’s Only Seafood Restaurants, and the portions were bigger than usual, which was nice.

Last thoughts: Yes, this Joey’s stays on my “go back” list. The location is nice when you are on the road and don’t want to stop at the busy places that are immediately visible from Highway 1.
