The Lakeview Inns & Suites is a fairly new hotel in Brooks. It’s easy to find, just off the highway behind the Tim Horton’s / Wendy’s. And despite the name, it does not have a lake view.
We arrived at the Lakeview Inns & Suites in Brooks late on a Friday night, and the lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We hadn’t made a reservation, but that wasn’t a problem at all, because the hotel was only a third full on this weekend night.
Lakeview offers a pool and hot tub, as well as a very small fitness room with a bike and a treadmill.
Our room was nice. There was a small living room with a TV and a sleeping area with a king-sized two-person bed and another TV. The living room and sleeping area were separated by sliding doors, so that one person can still sleep while the other one stays up watching TV.
The room was clean and in great shape, though one of the dresser drawers was broken.
In the nightstand, aside from the requisite Bible, we found a map of all the oil and natural gas sites in the area, so I guess a lot of oil people stay at this hotel.
Lakeview Inns & Suites in Brooks offers free breakfast. This is not the measly toast or muffin you get at most places that boast “free breakfast”. It’s a real breakfast, complete with a waffle maker, toast, muffins, fruits, eggs, bacon, and lots more.
Last thoughts: Staying at the Lakeview Inns & Suites well worth the price. You get a lot more for your money compared to, for instance, Super 8, where you pay about the same nightly rate. I will keep this place in mind next time I visit Brooks.

Great hotel. Now they even have an arcade. Great rates at the door.
Pool was cold but hot tub was HOT.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brooks.
