Dairy Queen is famous for its soft-serve ice cream. If you join the DQ Blizzard Fan Club (www.blizzardfanclub.com), you can get big discounts on their signature Blizzard treats.

So when I felt like some ice cream I visited the Dairy Queen on Centre Street North in Calgary. This DQ still has the look of an old-fashioned diner, which made it feel more homey than most Dairy Queens.

This time I got a Cookie Dough Blizzard. First of all it was huge, and second of all it was way too rich. I wondered if any ice cream made it into my cup. They could really cut back on the amount of cookie dough they put in.

The washrooms were okay. It was a shame that the women’s toilets didn’t flush.

Last thoughts: Yes, this Dairy Queen is worth a visit, and yes, it’s worth a re-visit, but I think next time I’ll go for something other than a Blizzard.
